Our hometown Sakae-machi is Located in the northern part of Chiba Prefecture.
The town has plenty of water and trees.In the north there is the Tone River,and in the south there is the Imba Lake.
Sakae-machi's villagers left many ancient burial mounds since the ancient times.The area of our town is about 32.46 square kilometers.Sakae-machi has a long and slender figure:it is 12km from east to west ,and 5km from north to south.
sakae-machi's main focus (industry) is its rich aggricultural environment including the many rice fields and vegetable gardens.Recently, the population had been increasing in our town.the town is 45km from the center of Tokyo and 10km from the New Tokyo International Air port.Since we have the Ajiki train station in our town.we can commute to Tokyo by train conveniently.therefore,our town is known to be "Tokyo's Bed Town"
