(6) Joining the neighborhood association/the residents' association

Every municipality in Japan has an organization called the "Neighborhood association" or the "Residents' association". Sakaemachi has 38 neighborhood associations and residents' associations.They pass a kairanban (notice for circulation) from house to house, engage in anti-crime activities and emergency drills, and hold events including festivals for residents to get to know one another.

Join the neighborhood association and the residents' association.

（6）町内会・自治会への加入

日本では、一般的にどこの市区町村でも「町内会」や「自治会」と呼ばれる住民組織があります。栄町では38の町内会・自治会があり、回覧板を回したり、防犯活動や防災訓練、お祭りなど、住民同士の交流活動をしています。
町内会・自治会に加入しましょう。
