Sakae’s Dora-mame

The Dora soybean, which is the speciality of Sakae Town, comes from the high quality Japanese brand called “Tamba Kuro (Tamba black)”.  Its production started in 1998 and this bean was named “Dora-mame (Dora bean)” which comes from “Doramu”, the dragon mascot of Sakae Town where the dragon legend lives to this day.
The Dora-mame is produced with utmost care near the Tone River, in Sakae Town where nature is rich.  The beans are large and nutritious with a mellow rich taste and a unique sweetness.  Not only are they delicious as sweetly cooked nimame or as boiled green edamame, but also new sweets using Dora-mame are continuously being developed.  Please enjoy the rich and delicate flavour distinctive of the high quality black soybean.
