3. In the case of illness
If you catch a cold or are slightly injured, look for a clinic near you or see your family doctor. If you have a severe illness or are suffering a serious injury, go to a major hospital. If it is a holiday or during the night when clinics are closed, look for medical facilities such as emergency hospitals that provide emergency medical services.
If you go to a medical facility, you will need a health insurance card. You will only have to pay a designated portion of the medical cost. If you forget to take your health insurance card with you or if you are not enrolled in medical insurance, you will have to pay the full amount of the medical care cost.

See your family doctor if you have minor symptoms such as a fever, or you feel weak, have no appetite, etc. You can consult with your family doctor about a wide range of health issues. He/She can refer you to a specialist as required.

病気やけがをしたら、まず、かぜや軽いけがなどの身近な診療所や医院などのかかりつけ医、重い病気や症状、大けがなどのいざというときの大きな病院、休日や夜間などの休診時の救急時の病院など、その症状に応できる医療機関を探します。
医療機関を受診するときには、健康保険証が必要となり、医療費の一部自己負担で受けることができます。医療保険証を忘れた、または医療保険に加入していない場合は、医療費は全額自己負担になります。

熱がある、体がだるい、食欲がないなど比較的軽い症状の時にかかります。健康に関することを何でも相談でき、必要な時は専門の医療機関を紹介してくれる身近な医療機関です。

急な発病で他に治療を受けるところがない場合、応急処置のみを行います。
